1. Standard we follow
insight is being designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard referenced by Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018 and the EU Web Accessibility Directive (EU 2016/2102) for public-sector and equivalent websites. We also track the European Accessibility Act 2025 (EAA, Directive EU 2019/882).
2. What works today
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements (Tab, Shift-Tab, Enter, Space, Esc).
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive control.
- Semantic HTML — proper landmarks (header / nav / main / footer), heading hierarchy, labelled form controls.
- Text-to-background contrast ratios meet AA in body text and primary actions.
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
- Live-region announcements for asynchronous status changes (e.g. attendance scan confirmations, save success).
- Responsive layout that works without horizontal scroll down to 320px width.
- Respects
prefers-reduced-motionfor users who disable animation.
3. Known limitations
We are not yet fully conformant. Specifically:
- The QR scanner screen relies on a camera preview that may be hard to interpret for blind users; we are exploring a paired "tap to attend" mechanism.
- Some third-party content (Zoom meeting embeds, Clearbit company logos) is outside our direct control and may not meet AA.
- A small number of decorative charts on the admin Overview lack textual equivalents; we are adding data-tables behind them.
- Spanish and Catalan translations are not yet complete.
If you encounter a barrier that isn't listed here, please tell us — see Section 5.
4. Assistive technologies tested
- VoiceOver on macOS Safari and iOS Safari.
- NVDA on Windows Firefox and Chrome.
- Keyboard-only navigation across all roles.
- Screen magnification up to 400% zoom in modern browsers.
5. Reporting accessibility issues
If you find content on insight that you cannot access, email accessibility@eunbs.com with as much detail as you can share (page, browser, assistive technology, what you tried). We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days and resolve confirmed issues within 30 days.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Office for Web Accessibility (OAW) at administracionelectronica.gob.es, or use the EU contact form at web-accessibility-monitoring.ec.europa.eu.
7. Ongoing review
We re-audit insight against WCAG 2.1 AA at least once a year and after every major redesign. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when this statement was last reviewed.
